A. General Terms and Conditions for Customer Referral Reward:
The promotion period of this Customer Referral Reward runs from 1 January 2021 to 31 March 2021 (“Promotion Period”).
Definitions used in this promotion:
“Referrer” must be an existing banking customer who is holding current, savings, time deposits, securities or investment accounts (either in sole name or joint name account) with the Bank.
“New-To-Bank Customer” is the Eligible Customer who does not hold any current, savings, time deposits, securities or investment accounts (either in sole name or joint name account) with the Bank within the 12 months immediately preceding the account opening date.
Referrer of the same Eligible New-To-Bank Customer can only enjoy the Referral Reward once only.
Referrer must obtain the consent from referee(s) before sharing the Offer's information with him/her and providing his/her name(s) and contact details to the Bank. The Bank will not assume any responsibility thereon.
Referee must write the name of the Referrer on the account opening form upon account opening.
Each referee can be referred by one Referrer only.
Referrers cannot refer themselves as referees.
Referral Reward is not applicable to all staff of the Bank.
The Bank reserves the right to amend, suspend, cancel or terminate these promotions and amend the Promotional Terms and Conditions any time without prior notice, and shall not be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses or liabilities incurred.
In case of any dispute arising out of or in connection with this promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding on the Eligible Customer.
Except as otherwise expressly stated in these Promotional Terms and Conditions, no one other than a party to these Promotional Terms and Conditions may enforce any of its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance, Cap. 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong. Where any clause of these Promotional Terms and Conditions entitles any third party to enforce any term of these Promotional Terms and Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance, the parties reserve the right to vary that term or any other term of these Promotional Terms and Conditions without the consent of that third party.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
In the event of any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these Promotional Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
B. CITICfirst Customer Referral Reward:
“Successful Referral” refers to during the Promotion Period, the Referrer (i) successfully refers a New-To-Bank Customer (see Clause A-2) to join CITICfirst service and (ii) the referred New-To-Bank Customer must fulfill the relevant requirements mentioned in (1)(i)-(iv) of CITICfirst Welcome Offer terms and conditions. During the Promotion Period, the Referrer and the relevant Referee will be eligible for the following reward upon Successful Referral: (i) The Referrer will be rewarded with HK$800 cash rebate (“Referrer Reward”), and (ii) the relevant Referee will be rewarded with HK$188 cash rebate (“Referee Incentive”).
From the date of referring Eligible New-To-Bank CITICfirst Customer until the date of crediting Referral Reward, the Referee is required to maintain valid CITICfirst status and the Referrer is required to maintain a valid HKD deposit account with the Bank in order to enjoy the Referral Reward.
The Referral Reward will be credited to Referrer’s HKD deposit account on or before 31 August 2021. For joint account, only the primary account holder of the joint account is entitled to the Referral Reward.
For Referrer with more than one HKD deposit account, the Referral Reward will be credited to the account with the most recent opening date. If the Referrer does not hold any valid HKD deposit account at the time of crediting Referral Reward, no Referral Reward will be offered.
During the Promotion Period, each Referrer can be entitled to a maximum of HK$8,000 Referral Reward.
The Referee Incentive will be credited to Referee’s CITICfirst Settlement Account on or before 31 August 2021.
C. CITICdiamond Customer Referral Reward:
“Successful Referral” refers to during the Promotion Period, the Referrer (i) successfully refers a New-To-Bank Customer (see Clause A-2 for definition) to join CITICdiamond service and (ii) the referred New-To-Bank Customer must fulfill the requirements mentioned in Clause A of CITICdiamond New Fund Offer terms and conditions. During the Promotion Period, the Referrer and the relevant Referee will be eligible for the following reward upon Successful Referral: (i) The Referrer will be rewarded with HK$2,000 cash reward (“Referrer Reward”), while (ii) the relevant Referee will be rewarded with HK$288 cash reward (“Referee Incentive”).
The maximum amount of CITICdiamond Referrer Reward to each Referrer is HK$20,000.
From the date of referring Eligible New-To-Bank CITICdiamond Customer until the date of crediting Referral Reward, the Referee is required to maintain valid CITICdiamond status.
The Referral Reward will be credited to the valid and the most recent opened Multi-currencies Statement Savings Account (or the most recent opened Current Account if the former is unavailable) in HKD in sole name on or before 31 August 2021. For joint account, only the primary account holder of the joint account is entitled to the Referral Reward. If the Referrer does not hold any valid HKD account at the time of crediting the Referral Reward, the Referral Reward will be forfeited.
The Referee Incentive will be credited to the valid and the most recent opened Multi-currencies Statement Savings Account (or the most recent opened Current Account if the former is unavailable) in HKD in sole name on or before 31 August 2021. If the Referee does not hold any valid HKD account at the time of crediting the Referee Incentive, the Referee Incentive will be forfeited.
