Terms and Conditions at Hong Kong Jockey Club VIP Box
- The reservation service of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (the “Club”) China CITIC Bank International VIP Box (the “VIP Box”) is valid on the designated race meetings at Sha Tin Racecourse from 10 September, 2023 to 14 July, 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”).
- The Offer is only applicable to cardmembers of CNCBI Jewel World Elite Mastercard Card (“Eligible Credit Card”) issued by China CITIC Bank International Limited (the “Bank") (“Eligible Cardmember”).
- Eligible Cardmember is required to make reservations according to the date specified in the booking schedule and settle the payment with the Eligible Credit Card to enjoy this Offer.
- Each Eligible Cardmember can book a maximum of 36 seats on the same race meeting during the Promotion Period. For a booking with 4 or more guests, a maximum of 2 persons can enjoy the admissions free of charge.
- Seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and are subject to availability of the VIP Box during the Promotion Period. The free and paid admissions must be used together on the same race meeting.
- A confirmation letter and the Member’s Guest Badge Request Form will be sent to the correspondence address of the Eligible Credit Card in the Bank’s record within 2 days prior to the race meeting via registered mail. Eligible Cardmember is required to redeem the admission badges at the designated address and time that specified on China CITIC Bank International website. If you do not receive a confirmation letter from the Bank, please contact the Bank’s Credit Card Customer Service Hotline at 2280 1288 for enquiry.
- The Member’s Guest Badge Request Form cannot be transferred or re-issued. If the Eligible Cardmember cancels his/her reservation or fail to show up, the payment will not be refunded. No compensation will be made if the paid and free admissions are not used.
- The guests cannot relocate the assigned tables, change the table numbers, or combine tables without prior consent by the Bank.
- Admission to the VIP Box is restricted to persons aged 18 or above on all race meetings.
- No outside food & beverage should be brought into the VIP Box or any of the Club’s premises. All food and services are provided by the Club which is solely responsible for all obligation and liabilities.
- The Guests shall ensure that a proper dress standard is maintained in the Box. The minimum standard for the Box is casual (blue denim jeans, T-shirts, tracksuits, shirts, sport shirts with collars or turtle necks, overalls, shoes for sports activities). Singlets, shorts and flip-flops are not acceptable. The minimum standard for visiting Parade Ring is blazers or sports jackets over shirts, sports shirts with collars, or turtle necks, or shirt and tie, Zhong Shan suits, Cheongsam and Min Ou are acceptable forms of dress code. Ladies are required to dress to a comparable standard. Please visit the Club’s website for more details.
- The guest using the VIP Box is required to comply with all the rules and regulations of the Club. The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to or evict any person who fails to comply with the Club’s rules and regulations. The Bank shall not be responsible for any such refusal or eviction.
- The collection and use of personal data by the Club is governed by the Club’s own Privacy Policy Statement (http://www.hkjc.com/english/corporate/corp_privacy.asp). Eligible Cardmember shall read and understand the Club’s Privacy Policy Statement before providing any personal data for making reservation with the Club.
- The Bank shall not be responsible for any matters in relation to the quality of the products or services offered. The Club is solely responsible for all obligations and liabilities relating to such products or service and all auxiliary services. Neither the Bank nor the Club accepts any liability for any loss, damage or injury to person or property arising from or relating to the use of the VIP Box or any Club premises.
- Eligible Credit Card account must be valid and in good condition at the time of payment settlement. Otherwise the Bank reserves the right to cancel the Offer.
- Unless otherwise specified, the Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions and be exchanged for cash, other products and services or discounts and are not transferable.
- The Club reserves the right to revise the racing fixtures from time to time upon approval by the government, the Club may cancel or abort any race meeting on the occurrence of any event beyond the control of the Club or in respect of which the Club considers it unsafe or unsuitable for the races to be conducted or continued. The Bank shall not be responsible for any cancellation or abortion by the Club.
- The validity of Eligible Credit Card and eligibility of this Offer are subject to the Bank’s (in its sole and absolute discretion) verification and confirmation.
- The Bank reserves the right to suspend, revise or terminate the Offer and to amend the terms and conditions thereof at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final.
- The use of the Eligible Credit Card is subject to the relevant Credit Cardmember Agreement and relevant terms and conditions of all other applicable prevailing promotions offered by the Bank. For details, please refer to the Bank’s website.
- In case of any fraud/abuse, the Bank reserves the absolute right to charge the equivalent value of the Offer awarded from the cardmember’s credit card account and/or forfeit the Eligible Cardmember’s eligibility to be entitled to the Offer without any notice.
- Except as otherwise expressly stated in these Terms and Conditions, no one other than a party to these Terms and Conditions may enforce any of its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance, Cap. 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong. Where any clause of these Terms and Conditions entitles any third party to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance, the parties reserve the right to vary that term or any other term of these Terms and Conditions without the consent of that third party.
- These promotional terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Hong Kong and any dispute arising out or in connection therewith shall be referred to the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
- In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
