Personal Accident Plan

In life, it's normal that we plan ahead to reach our goals. However, life can also be unpredictable, and accidents often happen when we least expect them. Unfortunately, when an accident occurs, it can quickly become a financial burden. That's why a personal accident insurance plan is an essential form of protection.

Features

• Accidental death benefit - up to HK$1,000,000 will be paid if the insured person dies within 12 months as a result of an accident
• Permanent disablement - up to HK$1,000,000 will be paid if the insured person is permanently disabled within 12 months of an accident
• Accidental medical expenses - up to HK$750 will be paid as hospital daily income if the insured person is injured and confined in an hospital as a result of an accident. Also, up to HK$2,000 will be available for medical expenses, including bonesetting or physiotherapy expenses incurred by the insured person as a result of each accident
• Double indemnity - the amount payable for death and permanent total disablement will be doubled to a maximum of HK$2,000,000 if the accident occurs while the insured person is riding solely as a passenger on any public transport licensed to carry passengers
• Severe weather extension - disappearance or death caused by unavoidable exposure to severe or prolonged severe weather conditions will be treated as disappearance or death arising from an accident
• 24-hour global emergency assistance - if you need medical advice or legal help while overseas, you can call the Zurich 24-hour emergency assistance hotline. Help is just a phone call away

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (hereafter “Zurich”) is the insurance underwriter of the insurance plan, and is solely responsible for all coverage and compensation. The insurance plan is a product of Zurich but not China CITIC Bank International Ltd. Zurich is not a subsidiary or an affiliate of China CITIC Bank International Ltd. China CITIC Bank International Ltd is registered in accordance with the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41 of the Laws of Hong Kong) as an appointed licensed insurance agency of Zurich for distribution of general insurance products in the Hong Kong SAR.

In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between China CITIC Bank International Ltd and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, China CITIC Bank International Ltd is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however any dispute over the contractual terms of the insurance product should be resolved between directly Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and the customer.
