CNCBI supports “Books for Love @ $10” charity campaign
CNCBI supported the “Books for Love @ $10” charity campaign for which a total of 228 books were collected from the Bank’s staff members. The campaign aims at supporting books recycling and green-reading, passing on the joy of reading and raising funds for needy groups.
CNCBI forms Volunteer Team
CNCBI understands the importance of giving back to society. In December 2021, CNCBI established its CNCBI Volunteer Team to encourage employees to contribute time and effort in helping the underprivileged in the community.
CNCBI supports CITIC Staff Association (Hong Kong & Macao) in caring for the community
CNCBI supported CITIC Staff Association (Hong Kong & Macao) to care for the community, distributing 2,000 boxes of facemasks and rapid test kits to frontline workers and low-income families in Sham Shui Po, Tin Shui Wai and Fanling.
CNCBI and parent bank CNCB jointly donate anti-pandemic supplies
As the fifth wave of COVID-19 pandemic hit Hong Kong, CNCBI joined hands with parent bank China CITIC Bank (“CNCB”) to support Hong Kong community. On 22 February 2022, on behalf of both CNCB and CNCBI, the Bank’s Chairman Mr Yang Yu presented Sham Shui Po residents and frontline workers with 11,500 pandemic prevention supplies, including 1,500 boxes of facemasks and 10,000 rapid test kits.
CNCBI supports Skip Lunch Day 2022
The fifth wave of the pandemic imposed financial burdens to the underprivileged. During this difficult time, the Bank’s staff members showed their support by donating their lunch money on The Community Chest’s Skip Lunch Day 2022 on 18 March. About 60 staff members supported the event and raised about HK$13,000 to support services for the street sleepers, residents in cage homes and cubicles.
CNCBI supports Hong Kong Red Cross’s “Every One Matters” Campaign
CNCBI responded actively to the call of the Hong Kong Red Cross and supported its “Every One Matters” Campaign. Launched in July 2022, “Every One Matters” shared extraordinary stories of ordinary people in various exhibitions and promotion venues with a view of encouraging members of the public to take good care of themselves and others around them, spreading warmth in Hong Kong society.
