If no transaction has been effected through any of your accounts (other than interest payment or payment of any fees or charges) for a continuous period as specified by the Bank for the time being, the account(s) will be turned to dormant account(s). Restriction on transferal and/ or withdrawal transaction may be imposed on the dormant account(s). The Bank reserves the right to impose a limit on the number of transaction for the account.

Personal customer who opens account over-the-counter, each account in different currency must have a minimum initial deposit of HK$1,000 or equivalent*.

* The following group of customers will be exempt from the minimum initial deposit: aged below 18 or 65 and above, recipients of Government’s Comprehensive Social Security Allowance, recipients of Government’s Disability Allowance and the physically disabled or visually impaired.
